Kanchan Gupta, Senior Adviser for Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, New Delhi, has called out on the hypocrisy of Ukraine on the consistent opposition of India in United Nations and still asking for India’s support to speak against Russia. He told that while Ukraine has voted against India on major issues regarding India and Indian nuclear tests and now its asking for India’s support.

Ukraine had pushed for UN intervention on Kashmir on abrogation of article 370. Ukraine had also criticized India’s nuclear tests in 1998 and supported the sanctions against India.

Ukraine also supplies military equipments and weapons to Pakistan.

Whereas Russia has always supported India, vetoed resolutions against India and termed Kashmir issue as india’s internal issue. Russia has also given preference to India over China when delivering S-400 air defense system.
