Senior journalist Ravish Kumar has resigned from his post as senior executive editor at NDTV India, according to reports. In an interview on YouTube channel he said that students studying to be journalists will endup being brokers. As basic principles of journalism have finished.

As per the reports, the news channel is said to have announced his resignation through an internal communication on Wednesday.

Ravish is among journalists who are critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP government.

He often faces the backlash of Modi supporters due to this image of anti Modi journalist.

Ravish said on his YouTube channel, “This day had to come soon or later; there are many news channels in this country, but all of them are Godi Media. They all claim to do journalism, but everything has been finished by them including the basic principles of journalism.”

“I was not doing the prime time show because I slowly wanted to fade away and not go all at once.”

“Lakhs of students are studying to be journalist but they all will have to endup being brokers (dalal), because there is not place left to do journalism.”

He further added, “You can’t be logical when emotional, will address everything later on. Want to thank everyone at NDTV, former employees as well the current one.”

As per the report channel made the announcement that Ravish Kumar has resigned. The channel in an internal mail stated, the resignation is effective immediately.
