Mukesh Kumar is sold for Rs. 5.5 Crore, break into IPL. This is the first time he has been bought at the IPL auction.

Bengal seamer Mukesh Kumar was in at 20 lakh. CSK opened the bidding, followed by DC, as the bid shot up to 1 crore. PBKS belatedly jumped into the bidding for Mukesh. CSK tapped out. DC were sure they want him.

Pedal kept on raising between PBKS and DC tables. PBKS took it to 4 crore. Neither franchise were pulling out.

Finnaly Delhi Capitals got it for Rs 5.5 Crore. Big payday for the Bengal seamer who achieved the rare feat of being called into India’s squad even before playing an IPL game. Sold to DC for 5.5 crore.

Earlier he had shown his desire to play in IPL and fulfill his Late father’s dream.
