Rekha Jhunjhunwala, wife of legendary investor Late Mr. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, has become 2nd richest Indian after the demise of her husband.

Falguni Nayar – $4.08 billion – Fashion & Retail

Nykaa’s Falguni Nayar, who is hailed as the country’s richest self-made women billionaires is 3rd richest woman in the list.  She is founder and CEO of the beauty and lifestyle retail company Nykaa, formally known as FSN E-Commerce Ventures which is an acronym of her own name.

With a net worth of $4.8 billion, after a bumper IPO (Initial Public Offer), Nayar stands at the 44th spot in the India’s 100 rich people’s list.

Leena Tewari – $3.74 billion – Pharmaceutical and biotechnology

Leena Tewari is 4th richest Indian Woman. She is chairperson of USV Private Limited, a multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company based in Mumbai.  USV was founded by her grandfather Vithal Balkrishna Gandhi in 1961.

Divya Gokulnath – $3.6 billion – Education and Technology

Divya Gokulnath is an Indian entrepreneur and educator who is the co-founder and director of Byju’s, an educational technology company.

Mallika Srinivasan – $3.4 billion – Tractors and Farm Equipment

Mallika Srinivasan is an Indian industrialist and is the Chairman and Managing Director of Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited, a tractor major incorporated in 1960 at Chennai, India. She is also the Chairperson of the Public Enterprises Selection Board constituted by the Government of India.

Meanwhile, Adani Group’s chairman Gautam Adani has topped Forbes India’s 100 richest list in 2022 as his wealth doubled this year. With a net worth of USD 150 billion, the 60-year-old Indian businessman surpassed the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Mukesh Ambani.

According to the list, the wealth of India’s top 100 richest increased by $25 billion to touch $800 billion despite concerns over depreciation in the value of the rupee and inflation worries worldwide
