Dinesh Karthik needs at least 400 more runs in the IPL 2022 if he would like to be the part of Indian National Cricket team. Dinesh Karthik has been outstanding in IPL 2022 by scoring at a strike rate of 207. He has scored these runs at a whopping average of 197. Karthik has lost his wicket only once in 6 games and have won two player of the match awards. He has not only scored runs but also rescued his team from early collapses and either took the team to respectable totals or chased down the score to win the match.

Dinesh Karthik has scored 197 runs so far in the IPL 2022 from 6 matches. Although he has outstanding strike rate and average but total runs he has scored are not sufficient to make it to team India for the 2022 world cup yet. Selectors will also see performance of the players in other domestic tournaments and previous International form of the players. Only IPL performance may not be sufficient for selection for the T20 world cup 2022. Karthik probably need 400 more runs to be in a top scoring range of 600 runs for the season. With current form it appears he will score many more runs in the tournament than 600.
Other players like Surya Kumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya and Shikhar Dhawan are also doing well. Rishabh Pant doesn’t deserve to be dropped from International side even if he performs poorly in IPL 2022. Although its doubtful that he will perform poorly.
So we all love Karthik for the player for his outstanding performance so far but he needs more runs. So he can be one of the top scoring Indian players in the tournament. And selectors select him for the T 20 world cup 2022
